1) Most of the world's population will experience low back pain at least once in their life so there is no reason to get overly stressed and doom yourself after a low back pain attack.
2) It is important not to stop moving as this will prolong the pain and delay healing. It is recommended to alternate between walking and bed rest.
3) Avoid sitting for a long time in the chair and long journeys by car because of the turbulence created inside it. In the case of a herniated disc, additional irritation is created in the intervertebral disc.
4) Don't stop your daily exercise, just adapt it to the context where you won't feel much pain. Exercise will help you feel better about your body and speed up healing from injury.
5) Consult the physical therapist on how you can get back to your daily life through improving the way you use your body or otherwise the correct ergonomics at work and at home.
6) The correct exercise prescription by your physical therapist in the initial stage of back pain is important so that the muscle system that helps the proper functioning of the lower back does not become inactive and will contribute to the fastest recovery of movement and the return to your daily life.
7) CAUTION: Seek the help of a doctor in the event that
a) the pain does not let you sleep at night
b) you have numbness and reduced sensation in the genitals and between the legs
c) you have difficulty controlling your bladder and do not understand when you want to urinate
d) you have unusual difficulty passing a bowel movement
e) you have weakness in the lower limbs
